The counter terrorism police are now offering free online training to the public on how to respond to a terror attack.  The award-winning online training course is being made available publicly for the first time and has been put together by Counter Terrorism officials. It is available free of charge for anyone who wants to take part. The training is made up of seven modules that take a few minutes each to complete.  The following e-modules are available as part of the course: Introduction to Terrorism Identifying Security Vulnerabilities How to Identify and Respond to Suspicious Behaviour How to Identify and Deal with a Suspicious Item What to do in the Event of a Bomb Threat How to Respond to a Firearms or Weapons Attack Summary and Supporting Materials

A free online counter terrorism training course has been made available by the counter terrorism (CT) police after suffering a delayed launch.  While the online course was meant to be released before the London Bridge terrorist attack, Christopher Terris Taylor, media manager for the National Police Chiefs' Council, claimed: “The Friday attack was a reminder of the current threat and need to be vigilant. However sadly the timing of the program’s release was unfortunate.” The course was devised by counter terrorism officers and security experts that aim to prepare citizens in how to spot the signs of suspicious behaviour and how to react under major incidents.   People in England is now able to train and become a Counter Terrorism Citizen, but not everyone believes this is a solution to terror threats and attacks. A Counter Terrorism course called ACT Awareness offered by the Counter Terrorism Policing, that was only open to company staff working in crowded spaces, is now available to the public of England for the first time.  The moves comes after a man stabbed two people to death and wounded three others last 29 November in what is now known as the London Bridge attack. However, the National Police Chief's Council said that the decision to make available to the public ACT Awareness is not related to the incident.
