London’s first fully electric ferry service under review

Thames Clippers, a river bus service, has submitted plans for a fully electric ferry service.

The service would be the first zero-emissions ferry in London, running on renewable energy.

The plan is currently being reviewed by Southwark (SUH-THUHK) and Tower Hamlets councils.

If approved, the service would begin to operate in February 2025.

It would travel between Canary Wharf and Rother-hithe in East London.
