The University of Aberdeen recently made global headlines when it approved the repatriation of a bronze sculpture to Nigeria.
The Head of an Oba (King in Yoruba and Bini) is currently on its way back home after the decision to return it was made as a result of the “immoral” way it was acquired.
But what exactly is a Benin Bronze?
And how did it end it end up in Aberdeen?
