French authorities swiftly arrested a 28-year-old man at a hotel near Disneyland Paris today, after he attempted to enter with a bag containing two guns, a Koran and ammunition.
The man is reportedly not known to French security services, and was caught when his bag triggered alarms, as it passed through a metal detector.
French media have reported that he was accompanied by a female companion, who was also arrested, but her name has not been disclosed.
This latest incident comes at a time when France remains in a state of emergency following the Paris terror attack in November, which left 130 dead. Islamic State ultimately claimed responsibility.
French President Francois Hollande has been attempting to extend the length of the current state of emergency until at least April, despite calls from rights groups to the contrary.
