The man suspected of stabbing another man at Leytonstone tube station in east London on Saturday night has been remanded in custody.
Muhaydin Mire, 29, of Sansom Road in Leytonstone, appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court today charged with attempted murder. His alleged victim is a 56-year-old man, who has not been named.
Mire is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

The alleged attack took place at around 7pm on Saturday. Several members of the public captured footage of the incident on their mobile phones.
Witnesses said Mire was heard to shout “This is for Syria” during the attack, prompting one onlooker to say “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv”.
His response has since been trending on Twitter under the hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv.
