Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch is being reprimanded by British journalist, Michael Buerk for taking ‘celebrity activism’ too far. During this week’s Radio Times interview, Buerk said: “Political grandstanding without experience was the problem with celebrities like Cumberbatch.”

The actor’s recent comments about the migrant crisis and immigration was supposedly the reason for Buerk’s remarks, reports The Guardian. During October last year, when Cumberbatch was performing Hamlet, he urged the audience to disregard the politicians and donate to Save the Children. Cumberbatch criticised the British government for letting only 20,000 refugees into the country over the past five years.
